WILMINGTON, N.C. — Beaches and sand are one of the most impossible areas to navigate in a wheelchair and after being paralyzed over 30 years ago, Billy Eno accepted that his beach days were over.
“Before my injury I was a beach bum, so I spent a lot of time at the beach,” Eno says. “Today, this is the first time I’ve been on the beach in seven years. This is the first time in 20 years that I’ve been into the water.”
